Tomáš Heger

Tomáš joined our lab in May 2025 as a postdoctoral researcher. He uses cryo-EM and cell-based assays to characterise complexes of cell adhesion molecules. Tomáš completed his PhD in Molecular Biology in Poul Nissen's group in Aarhus (Denmark) where he structurally investigated the human copper transporter ATP7B using various nanodisc technologies. Before coming to Denmark, Tomáš obtained his undergraduate education in biochemistry in the Czech Republic, where he was involved primarily in metabolomics and cancer cell biology research.
