Celine joined the Seiradake Lab in 2017 as a D.Phil. student supported by the Wellcome Trust studentship in Structural Biology. Her goal was to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying specific pathologies. She published pioneering work as a co-first author showing how GPR97 interacts with PR3 and other proteins on neutrophils (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-022-34083-1), and on how mutations in NTNG2 cause neurodevelopmental disorders (https://www.cell.com/ajhg/pdfExtended/S0002-9297(19)30386-6). Following on from her Oxford DPhil, Celine joined the prestigious lab of Cristina Paulino at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, for her postdoc. Before coming to the Department of Biochemistry in Oxford, she completed a double Master course and obtained her Engineer’s Degree in Chemistry at École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes and her M.Sc. degree in Molecular Chemistry at Université de Rennes 1 (Rennes, France). Celine also performed industrial placements in the R&D departments of Axon Medchem (Groningen, The Netherlands) and Roquette (Shanghai, China) and at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (Melbourne, Australia) and the Paul Scherrer Institute (Villigen, Switzerland).
