Maria Carrasquero

Maria joined the Seiradake Group as a Research Technician in 2014. She provides excellent technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively, and assists with the advancement and development of the various projects in the lab. Her interest in integrative structural biology combine both functional and biophysical techniques to gain a better understanding of protein function during brain development. Before starting at the Department of Biochemistry, Maria completed a M.Sc. in Chemistry at Universidad Central de Venezuela (2014) and joined the group of Erika Mancini for a six-month internship at the Division of Structural Biology in Oxford. Prior to moving to Oxford, Maria worked at the research institute of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA-Intevep) for five years as a Junior Researcher.
